As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the Colleges of Education Weekly Journal on Friday, 29th November 2019 donated two pieces of graph boards to the Evangelical Presbyterian (E. P) College of Education, Amedzofe in the Volta Region of Ghana.
The donation forms part of activities to mark the one-year anniversary of the Journal.
E. P College of Education, Amedzofe is one of the numerous Colleges offering Primary and Junior High school education in the Country coupled with French language studies. The College was established in 1946. The vision of the College is to position itself to become a reputable College in teacher education, and to be a pace setter in Information Communication Technology education. The College is affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon.
Presenting the items to the College authorities on behalf of the Journal, Mr. Selassie Logo Philip, a member of the Editorial Board stated that “I wish to use this opportunity to thank the Principal and Mathematics Department for the opportunity given us to do this presentation despite the short notice. As part of our one-year anniversary, I am here to present these teaching and learning materials to support the work of our tutors in the classroom. It is just a small package but it is our hope that it goes a long way to help the entire College”
Receiving the items on behalf of the College, Dr. Dickson Tsey, Principal of the College expressed his delight at the gesture. He stated that “we are extremely happy for such a great initiative and kind gesture towards us. Indeed, the absence of these teaching and learning materials has always been a problem but today, the Colleges of Education Weekly Journal has helped us reduce the number”
He further added that, “on behalf of the College, we wholeheartedly accept your donation and pray the good Lord gives you the strength to do more”.
