The Colleges of Education Weekly Journal in collaboration with the Ministry of Education will on Thursday, 6th February 2020 host the Minister for Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh in a stakeholder engagement dubbed “Colleges of Education Dialogue Series I”.
The programme is aimed at addressing issues pertaining to Colleges of Education. Participating groups expected to take part in the programme are the Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG), Colleges of Education Non – Teaching Staff Association of Ghana (CENTSAG), Teacher Trainees Association of Ghana (TTAG) and Private Colleges of Education students. A representative each from these groups will be given the opportunity to ask the Minister a maximum of five questions affecting their area.
Speaking to the News Desk of the Colleges of Education Weekly Journal, the Editor of the Journal, Mr. Larry K. Agbador stated, “This programme was actually scheduled for November 2019 as part of our one – year anniversary activities but could not take place due to some snags. This is just the first in the series of the stakeholder dialogue engagements. In the coming months we shall roll out other programmes aimed at delving into issues pertaining to Colleges of Education”.
“I would like to use this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT – Ghana), Jackson Educational Complex, Colleges of Education Teachers Association of Ghana (CETAG), Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) and other stakeholders for their tremendous support towards this programme” Mr. Larry Agbador added.
Arrangements have been done for the programme to aired live on television to enable trainee teachers across the 46 public Colleges of Education and stakeholders take part in it.
