Commenting on the development, the CETAG National President, Mr. Prince Obeng-Himah opined that it was gratifying to see government respond swiftly to the teething problems of the Colleges of Education. He was particularly grateful to the government for seeing to it that Market Premium as well as Book and Research Allowances have been paid to the tutors since last academic year. He was hopeful that, it would boost the morale of tutors and resource them adequately to deliver sound pre-service teacher education to would-be teachers. Mr. Obeng-Himah was optimistic that the good faith exhibited by the Fair Wages and Salaries Commission lately would result in earnest and fruitful discussion as CETAG prepares to meet the Commission in the coming week to see to full implementation of the total package CETAG negotiated for in 2017 and other related issues.
