Former KNUST VC Calls For Strict Moral Training In Schools To Address Prevailing Moral Decadence

A former Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Agogo Presbyterian Women’s College of Education, Professor Kwasi Adarkwa has called for the reintroduction of strict moral training in mission schools to address the prevailing moral decadence in the country.

He was speaking at a special Service in honour of the immediate past principal of the Agogo Presbyterian Women’s College of Education Rev. Dr. Esther Agbodeka.

Rev. Dr. Esther Agbodeka served the college for five years. She is the 16th Principal of the Agogo Presbyterian Women’s College of Education.

Under her tenure the college witnessed some transformations including the completion of some stalled projects.

At a brief ceremony to bid her farewell and say thank you for her dedicated service, the Chairman of the Governing Council of the College and former Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Professor Kwasi Adarkwa said it takes a selfless leader to bring about change and Rev. Dr. Esther Agbodeka is a living example of the saying.

He asked authorities of Presbyterian Institutions in the country not to let their guards down in the training of students.

The former Principal is indisposed and was represented by her husband at the function. On her behalf he thanked the leadership of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana for giving her the opportunity to serve the college.
