Fosu College of Education SRC partners AirtelTigo to provide data for Students

Data bundle has become one of the budget lines for student teachers these days, particularly now that all students are taking part in the ongoing online tuition due to the novel coronavirus pandemic which has led to the closedown of all educational institutions.

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and the Management of Fosu College of Education has had discussions with a leading Internet Service Provider, AirtelTigo to provide Auto Renewable Data Package for all students of the College.

The package comes with the following benefits: Unlimited On-Net free calls, 10- minute Off-Net calls every month, 2.2GB unexpired renewable data every month, free Mobile Money transaction below GHC50, 50 SMS to all networks every month among other packages.

For the next 6 months, students of the College will be rolled onto this package with all costs fully absorbed by the SRC.

Speaking to the News Desk of CoEWJ on how students are going to benefit from this package, Mr. Romel Owusu Baffour, the SRC President of FOSCO stated that “students are going to benefit from this package with internet data which will aid them get access to their Virtual Learning Platforms in the ongoing E-Learning system. It will also help students with poor network connectivity at their various places of settlement since there will be a network boosting by AirtelTigo”.

This is no doubt a great initiative that will go a long way to cushion students of the College.
